With a background in Defence, construction, and business leadership, I bring a practical, solutions focused approach to my role as a Support Coordinator. Commencing in 2025, I have transitioned into this field with the guidance of an experienced and supportive team, combining my lived experience and operational strengths to assist NDIS participants in navigating their plans with clarity and confidence.
My career began in the Australian Army as a Rifleman, where I developed strong skills in decision making, risk management, and working under pressure. Since then, I’ve managed multiple service based businesses, gaining extensive experience in client relations, team leadership, compliance, and safety systems. These skills now underpin my work in the disability sector, where reliability, integrity, and clear communication are critical.
I am committed to building strong relationships with participants, families, and service providers, and to delivering coordinated supports that are tailored, respectful, and outcome driven.
What drives me is simple, helping people feel heard, supported, and in control of their own lives. I value honesty, follow through, and showing up when it matters most.
Outside of work, I’m all about the outdoors and making memories. Whether I’m target shooting, 4x4ing through the bush, camping in the rainforest, or spending time water skiing with my family, I believe in living life to the fullest. I’m passionate about the freedom and clarity that comes from nature and I bring that same energy into the way I support others.
I’m a firm believer in keeping things real, finding solutions (not red tape), and having a good laugh along the way.
Those who know Rick will tell you he’s one of the most dependable, genuine blokes you’ll ever meet. People admire his ability to stay calm under pressure, speak with honesty, and follow through on his word every time.
Whether it’s navigating life, business, or supporting someone through a tough situation, Rick brings a level of integrity and real-world understanding that people trust.
He’s the kind of guy who shows up when it matters, gets the job done without the fluff, and still manages to crack a joke or two along the way. From his time in the Army to his current role as a Support Coordinator, Rick’s resilience, loyalty, and drive to help others continue to earn him respect from clients, colleagues, mates, and family alike.
It’s all about honesty, loyalty, and showing up when it counts. Whether I’m with my family around a campfire or supporting someone through the NDIS, I believe in keeping things real and doing what I say I’ll do.
In work, I care deeply about helping people feel heard, respected, and in control of their own lives. I know how frustrating things can be when they don’t work out for you so I bring a practical, solution focused approach to everything I do. I value straightforward communication, reliability, and doing the job properly, not just ticking boxes.
In my personal life, what matters most is quality time with my family, being outdoors, and staying active in the ways that work for me. Whether I’m out 4x4ing, camping, water skiing, or just enjoying the quiet of the bush or rainforest, I find clarity, freedom, and purpose in those moments.
At the end of the day, I believe life’s about making the most of what you’ve got, staying grounded, and being someone others can count on no matter what the situation.
I’m easy going, but there are a few things that make life (and work) run smoother for me:
Supporting me is simple, communicate clearly, show up, and let’s keep things practical and respectful.
