We’re thrilled to spotlight Rebecca’s latest achievement. She has recently completed her Diploma of Counselling in July 2024. She didn’t stop there—by October 2024, she had also earned four specialty certificates.
Rebecca is now fully equipped to provide face-to-face and telehealth counselling services to individuals with and without disabilities. Her new qualifications include specialised certificates in:
These qualifications allow Rebecca to offer tailored counselling services to those with ASD and ADHD, as well as work with couples (whether both neurodivergent or a mix of neurodivergent and neurotypical) to foster understanding and collaboration for a happier household.
Rebecca’s passion for working with ASD and ADHD individuals stems from her own experiences, as she is both ASD and ADHD herself. She understands the unique challenges and thrives on finding better strategies for neurodivergent individuals. Rebecca believes therapy isn’t about “fixing” a problem but creating a safe space for clients to cope with their differences and express themselves without stigma.
With her new qualifications, Rebecca is now shifting her focus to Behaviour Support and counselling, while continuing with her Support Coordination Participants. Her deepened knowledge and official credentials mean she can now advocate more effectively for her participants, ensuring they receive adequate and appropriate therapies.
Rebecca is especially excited to foster an understanding of neurological differences among her clients and reduce the stigma associated with them. Through her practice, she aims to build trust and a sense of belonging, working under the social model to create an accepting and supportive environment.
Congratulations again, Rebecca! We are eagerly anticipating the positive impact you’ll have on the community.
