Experience

Support Worker for 1 year, lived and work experience with Autism and ADHD.

I have always supported my friends and family throughout their mental health journeys and find this extremely fulfilling.

Education – Special Interest in Autism and ADHD, currently studying a diploma of counselling to further my knowledge In support services.

Passions

I love all things nature with a special Interest In spiders and octopus, did you know neither of them have brains?

My daughter (4) Is my highest priority, showing her how to be a strong woman (although that has Its own set of challenges) Is the most rewarding aspect of my life. Watching the love she has for my partner grow over the last few years has been delightful and always gives me the warm and fuzzies.

In my work life, I love being able to be the person who helps you grow into your true self. Showing the world all your strengths and encouraging constant growth to blossom into your best self.

What others admire about me

Bec has a passion for all things artistic and is eager/quick to learn new skills. She is genuine, honest, and open to others without judgement. She has a big heart and loves to help anyone in need (including animals!). Becs passion for animals is infectious and speaks to her innate kindness, she has a giant heart and is willing to open it to any being in need.

What is important to me

WORK: I strongly believe in person centred care and think that everyone Is entitled to living their life the way that they see fit. For me personally, I find structure and punctuality the key to a successful workday & pride myself on always being early. I love trying new things and will always try to find the most efficient way to complete projects to ensure that all deadlines are met. I believe that all my colleagues deserve respect and will strive to always ensure everyone feels safe and heard

PERSONAL: Happiness Is the most Important aspect of my life, there Is nothing I would rather be than happy. Finding ways to decompress after a busy day at work Is the best way for me to keep on top of my own physical and emotional wellbeing.

What others need to know to support me

Although I am very hardworking, I sometimes can become overwhelmed when in a stressful situation. It Is very rare that I will reach out when stressed and am more likely to withdraw from my social activities until I feel as I have energy to spare. I can be very direct when conversing, but I will never be Intentionally rude, my direct-ness Is a sign that I am comfortable with you outside a professional environment! If I seem a little off, feel free to send me something you find funny, I may not respond straightaway, but will be very grateful to know you are thinking of me. I always bounce back, sometimes I just need to do me.
